Agenda are pleased to be working with this Hertfordshire Public Sector client on a

4-6 month contract. My client is looking for a Digital Content Writer.

Salary: £15 - £20 per hour (paid through a Limited Company or Umbrella Company)



Job Title: Digital Content Writer

Reports to: Communications and Digital Media Manager/ Digital Content Officer 

Team: Communications


  • To support the Digital Content Officer deliver a new Intranet service.
  • To work with various services to create and edit digital content for employees.
  • To support the upload and creation of content in line with the digital vision of the public sector client.


  • Digital content writing and editing, in line with house style
  • Using Digital Content best practice, including how people read content on websites and search optimisation
  • CMS content writing and editing  
  • HTML editing

Management / Supervisory / Team Working Responsibilities

To work with the Digital Content Officer and wider team to deliver digital content


Communication & Contacts

  • To communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with various services in respect of their requirements

Financial / Budgetary Responsibilities

Support Communications and Media Manager in identifying service improvements and efficiencies


  • Able to work outside normal office hours when necessary
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the line manager that are appropriate to the level of responsibility of the post

  • It may be varied from time to time at the discretion of the Authority, in consultation with the postholder


Job Specific Skills & Knowledge


  • 1-2 years’ Digital Content experience
  • Knowledge of current Digital Content best practice
  • Experience in writing/creating Digital Content in line with house style
  • Experience editing existing Digital Content
  • Ability to write clear and accurate content
  • Experience using a CMS to edit and create content


  • Working knowledge of HTML

Management / Supervisory / Team Working

Work with the Digital Content Officer and wider team to deliver digital content.



There are good train  links to the offices with a short walk with good links from London or home counties.
